  1. Man, I loved this movie in ’95. I loved (and owned) the soundtrack. The fights that involved the 3 ninjas… Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile, were my favourite parts. Generally speaking, I shut it off after Reptile.

The last time I watched it was probably in ’99, though. And if you want to see a bad movie get exponentially worse… check out the sequel… Mortal Kombat Annihilation.

  2. A tweet review, I like it, very novel for Shitfest! I tried (and failed) to bleach this movie from my memory. And I think Kylie was Street Fighter, which was equally lulzy, that had Van Damme as Guile. And Ming-Na as Chun-Li. I have to watch that movie again.

  3. “This film is so bad, I’m struggling to come up with anything funny to say about it” … I hate when that happens! Actually, you managed to come up with some good ones! Sub-Zero was my character when I used to play:D Want to watch a better tournament film? Try Balls of Fury!

  4. Oh man, I’m a little sad to see this one included in Shitfest. Regardless of how poorly it’s aged, it’s still one of those movies that I will remember fondly. There’s so much nostalgia! For the movie, for the characters, for the video games… I can hear the video game voiceover now “Sub Zero WINS!” lol.

  5. Dude, I HEART Mortal Kombat so much, lol. It’s totally terrible but it’s so epically fun. I have the soundtrack and everything – MK was one of my fave games back in the day and I so kicked ass at it. Nice tweet review – live tweeting is always fun!! 🙂
