To remain as spoiler free as possible, I haven’t included any words other than to say I loved it. Also – it could come across as very slow at times but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Oh, and Kate Dickie spends a lot of time crying. Oh – and I loved Black Phillip! 
That poster looks like a Little Golden Book. Is this streaming somewhere yet? I missed it at the theater.

Awesome mini-review! You avoided all spoilers and simply let us know what you thought. I’m glad you liked it. I wasn’t sure how you’d feel since it had some slow stretches, but I was hoping the strong execution would make-up for that. Jordan recommended this one to me, as well, as I was not planning to see it until Jordan urged me to. I liked it, but I definitely need to give it another watch w/ the captions turned on as some of the dialogue was hard to hear.

Hehe, nice post mate. I’m psyched that you dug this man, I saw it back last year and need to go catch it again before its gone from theatres. I liked the slow pace, though when i saw it I saw a lot of clock-watching

I’m glad I watched it twice so I could catch up on the dialogue. I could barely understand what anyone but the blond girl said the entire time the first go around. Loved it!

I didn’t mind the dialogue, I lost a few words here and there but I imagine a second viewing will help in that regard. Plus its been so long, I need to watch this again

Caught this myself last week. I enjoyed it for the most part. It was well shot, deliberately paced and well acted but it left me a little pissed off. I’m not overly keen on how it demonises Paganism. My good lady is a practicing pagan and films always depict it from the Christianity view of devil worshippers rather than the gentle worship of the earth that is the root of paganism. It always pisses me off, man. Anyway, it was a decent enough flick.
